- Desiree is originially from Singapore and has been diving since she was 14. Much of her dive experience was in South East Asia.
- She has a BFA in Visual Development in Animation.
- She is passionate about kelp and its vibrant ecology, volunteers with ReefCheck and loves Channel Islands, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuaries and Flower Garden Banks.
- When not diving, Desiree is a graphic designer and is also a member of the US Woman Master Team for Underwater Hockey.
