Conservation Training
All of our training is environmentally focused.
We very much believe in conservation and stewardship.
We partner strongly with PADI Aware and offer the PADI Aware specialty as part of our PADI Open Water training. We offer the PADI Dive Against Debris specialty as part of our PADI Advanced Open Water training and also during our clean ups.
While we teach buoyancy skills on all of our tours and in all of our classes, we love the opportunity to focus specifically on buoyancy during Peak Performance Buoyancy and Dry Suit courses. Good buoyancy practice is a cornerstone of preserving our underwater environments.
We have had the opportunity to share our local environment with our divers and students. We have created distinctive specialties to highlight our local region, our local marine animals and how we can best protect them. These specialties are Salish Sea Diver, Marine Mammal Rehabilitation diver and Nudibranchs of the Salish Sea diver. We have also built these specialties in partnership with some of our favorite local non-profit organizations - SR3, SeaDoc Society, and MaST Center Aquarium. We donate an additional $5 of each of these specialties to these organizations.
