Summary:

The first step of your Open Water training starts with online learning and confined water training. The Referral Out course will set up with just that! This course does not result in a Open Water certification. 

A PADI referral allows you to complete most of your scuba training at home and finish your certification dives anywhere in the world. Avoid studying during your vacation and support your local dive shop at the same time.

You can finish the final part of your scuba course, the open water dives (aka “check out dives”), with a PADI shop anywhere in the world.

To put it another way, instead of spending 4-5 days on your holiday studying and practicing skills in a pool, you’ll arrive with the majority of your open water course done. The final portion of the course typically takes one to two days to complete. Once certified, you can spend the rest of your time exploring with your dive buddy and gaining additional dive experience.

Seattle Dive Tours is an active member of GreenFins and a PADI Eco-Dive Center. All divers can minimize their impact on the environment by following environmental best practice while diving, and our dive team will guide you through these practices throughout your training. Course consists of/Expected length:

• E-Learning (10-20 hours)
• Confined Water Sessions (8-10 hours minimum over at least 2 days)

Prerequisites:

• 10 years old for Junior Open Water Diver
• 15 years old for Open Water Diver
