Scott was originally certified in 2006 in Tulum, Mexico and became a dive professional in 2015. Scott enjoys being in the water as much as possible and teaches Open Water through Divemaster and including multiple specialties.

Dena became a PADI instructor in the year following her first Open Water certification class in Hawai’i. She wanted to share her love of the ocean, conservation, and of course neutral buoyancy with as many people as possible. She is a Master Instructor going on 11 years of teaching and has certified hundreds of students from Open Water through to Assistant Instructor. She teaches 20 specialities with her favorite being wreck! Dena is a true cold water diver who prefers winter to summer and icebergs to coral.

Klayton was born and raised in Indiana. He received his Open Water Certification when he was 10 and has been diving ever since. Klayton has a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Animal Behavior and also has a certificate in Underwater Resource Management. He has previously worked as an intern with Scripps Institute of Oceanography in San Diego, a Divemaster in Key Largo and a Marine Species Observer in Honolulu.
Trained in the Northwest, Thomas is interested in underwater photography and learning about Pacific Northwest aquatic life.

Mimi successfully completed the PADI Divemaster course with Seattle Dive Tours in the summer of 2017, and leads guided dive tours and assists with classes when not studying Marine Biology at University of California, Davis.

Maddi was born and raised in Vail, Colorado. She completed her Open Water certification when she was 15 in Cozumel, Mexico and has since dived in Cambodia and Belize. She has a B.S. in Marine Biology from San Diego State University. Maddi previously worked as a volunteer, building artificial reefs in Koh Rong, Cambodia, as well as an intern for PROCETUS, studying the cetaceans in Bahia de Los Angeles. Since moving to Seattle, she has been volunteering at the Seattle Aquarium, and is eagerly working to finish her Divemaster certification with SDT.

Chloe keeps an eye on things around the shop, Scott and Melissa’s home and more. She specializes in shop ambassadorship, life coaching, deep breathing exercises and enjoying all sunbeams and pillows.
Chloe is the captain of the Seattle Dive Tours Dive Boat
(that doesn’t exist yet – but don’t tell her that).

Richard began diving in 2004 with the intention of vacationing with friends and immediately became fascinated with the sport. Richard worked as a SSI Dive Control Specialist for several years and became a PADI Instructor in 2010. Richard opened Seattle Dive Tours in 2012 and has certified hundreds of people. He relocated to Idaho in 2018 and the Seattle Dive Tours team works to maintain the customer service culture that he created.
